Japanese Being Superficial

There was a big news on Twitter I believe in Japan. The user apparently was on a diet to lose weight and the user ate at a Sushi restaurant and left the rice untouched.

This angered many Japanese on the Internet. You know Japanese are weird about rice. Basically most criticisms were described as "Mottai nai" which can be translated as waste-some I guess. Well if they want to bitch about this saying Mottai nai and bullshit, why don't they blame Sushi restaurants in general? They waste more rice than any of those users on the Internet. Also why don't they criticize Japanese's favorite convenience stores or "Konbini". They waste tremendous amount of foods on daily basis but you stupid superficial Japanese don't complain that? Why? Because they are too stupid to think a bit deeper into the issue. Only the surface do they look at hence superficial are they.
